  • Yes. We would love to help you with your fertility or family building goals. Request a consultation to get started.

  • Your first visit is a consultation with Dr. Akopians where you’ll speak about your fertility or family building goals and learn about the options available to you. Initial consultations are held in person or via telehealth.

  • Your fertility assessment at Beverly Hills Reproductive Center provides important information that guides our course of treatment. During the assessment, we use transvaginal ultrasound to examine the ovaries and uterus, as well as count follicles (eggs). We also screen hormone levels and general health through bloodwork.

  • Egg retrieval is an option for fertility preservation and is also a part of IVF. Over the course of treatment, you receive injections to grow several follicles (eggs) at once. Your fertility team will educate you about the medications and how to administer them.

Throughout the process, we monitor your progress with regular ultrasounds and blood work up to your retrieval. Egg retrieval is a minimally invasive procedure under sedation that takes about 15-20 minutes. After retrieval, your eggs are frozen and stored for future use.

The process takes approximately 10-14 days with 5-6 office visits for ultrasounds and blood work before egg retrieval.

  • Saline ultrasound is used to evaluate the uterine cavity for possible lesions, such as polyps or fibroids. It involves infusing saline liquid into the uterine cavity. Your fertility team may use saline ultrasound during your fertility assessment or prior to embryo transfer during an IVF cycle.

  • An HSG is used during fertility assessment. It involves infusing contrast dye into the uterine cavity, then performing an X-ray to evaluate the fallopian tubes.
